Would you live in a house of trash if it guaranteed today’s ten year olds a livable future?

The entire scientific community is united in the conclusion that between 2045 and 2100 the most dramatic changes in the global environment will occur. Those who are today 10 years old will be about 40 at this time. We have already discovered that some ethicists argue that we have an absolute duty to future generations and should be willing to go to any lengths to change our employment, transportation and housing to reflect that duty. With respect to the environmental crisis they argue that the current generation owes today’s ten-year-olds a livable world and that each of our lifestyle choices should reflect the intent to pass on such a world.
