A Position Paper, also known as a White Paper, is a tool to educate and inform the public on a specific health issue. A White Paper is an authoritative document on a specific position or recommended approach to solving an identified problem. It is important to assess the White Paper by evaluating the quality and source of the message. Include the link to the selected White Paper. Select and provide an overview of a White Paper related to a health care policy effort of interest to the masters prepared nurse (Transplant Surgical ICU). Identify the source and purpose of the White Paper. Discuss how the chosen White Paper can advance current health systems, practice, and/or organizations to improve health outcomes.
